Marck was just hanging out on tortuga when then ishmel and john attacked him, they cuffed marck but then another friendly pirate [didn't check his name] cut the cuffs off, marck wounded really hard john and captured ishmel. but while in jail he called for backup but he didn't realize he is now marcks prisoner too!!!!! ha ha ha!
